You are a phenomenal woman. Yes, you are! Don’t deny it. Don’t hide your skills, strengths, light under a bushel. Yes, you are not a popstar, famous actress, or a Nobel Prize award winner. But those things are not the criteria for phenomenal-ness :-) It is just being the true, genuine you.
Do you ever find yourself shirking away from promoting yourself? Do you feel uncomfortable talking about recent achievements? Do you worry about being perceived as boastful or a show-off?
Women are the worst at promoting themselves. Research is full of studies clearly showing this and how men are much better at it. But research also shows that ambitious women are often perceived unfavourably. So how can we promote ourselves without being labelled a show-off? We are self-confessed self-help book addicts.
